Top Shirting Fashion Predictions for 2010

Thu, 10 Dec 09

Are you ready for 2010? Instead of re-inventing your wardrobe the key is to compliment what you already have. Colours don’t cycle out of style as quickly as silhouettes and other details.

Know your corporate fashion trends for the year ahead. Straight from the Italian fashion mill houses, here are the top predictions in fine Italian shirting…

  1. Inter-seasonal lightweight fabrics that can be worn all year long. Many played it safe last year in stripes and solids, but you will see the range branch out into a full variety of checks from micro to macro.
  2. The interaction of functional blue and structured browns creates the chic shades of winter. Midnight blue and earth tones as well as deep pinks create a world of playful patterns.
  3. The classic winter tones of greens, greys and other foggy shades will help form the winter trends. This will either be featured in pattern fabrics or shirting accessories. To funk winter up casual tones in burnt shades, orange reds, and plum will come into play.
  4. Expect chic inspired prints and contrast either strong or delicate. The winter will bring updated versions of the popular floral, motifs and paisley prints.
  5. The distinctive violet is an intriguing colour addition to any wardrobe all year round.
  6. Spring also brings provocative fusion coral into the mix, connecting directly with tomato purée, this season’s classic red. Team with turquoise for a more contemporary look.
  7. Careful and cautious neutrals provide a dependable addition to the brights of spring. Kick back and enjoy pink champagne. This delicate tint looks great with other neutral colours of spring including Tuscany beige, dried herb and eucalyptus. Or pick it up with tomato purée and amparo blue. A refreshing take on the classic red, white and blue.
  8. Vibrant brights add a sense of excitement to the colour palette for 2010. Tropical turquoise and amparo blues represent the cool calm waters of summer.
  9. Super lemon is predicted to be a big summer hit along with vibrant green and pistachio sorbet.
